Google TV 2.0: a look at the developer kit Fishtank - During the Google I / O , the group of Mountain View had explained that Android developers interested in creating their own software for Google TV 2.0 available they would have what is called by the code name Fishtank . Up to today we knew very little about the developer kit that will be made available to them, but I have just been released many details about it.
First, the hardware dedicated to developers has added a simple box, which integrates an Intel CE4100 (no ARM) and a Logitech wireless keyboard Revue, to be connected wirelessly through a USB dongle. There are also a couple of doors at the corners of the coaxial device, but do not know much.
The peculiarity of Fishtank lies in software that, finally, is updated to version 3.1 Android , with lots of style interface HoneyComb. This integration will bring with it many new features on Google TV 2.0 , with new menus that provide access to the list of running applications, notices, logs and more. In addition, there is a dual-view rather interesting, an app that lets you run while you are watching a movie or a video stream. Developers can therefore have several options available to make their content on Google TV.
Among the possibilities given by the hardware, there could be a big problem for developers in coming, and view or interact with live TV. But to bring interactivity to the broadcast would be a great plus point for the second version of Google TV . It is still possible that the feature comes in the summer with an update .
