The Woolleys Residence

The incredible Woolleys Residence is a creative space rental space for photographers and prone to constant evolution but the styling on this contemporary interior is worth paying attention to. Staged in colorful provincial decor, with mixed eras and styling, we think there is a lot of inspiration to be found.

The ground floor living room features a neat muted mauve and lively green theme, very fresh and verdant. We love the intricate ceiling medallion above the chandelier, a great way to draw attention to a subtle lighting choice. The iconic Bubble chair provides a full view of the private garden.

Our favorite source of white design inspiration has to be that playful dining room arrangement. Neutral colors serve as the perfect backdrop for a medley of bright pastels – mixed chairs, extremely distressed, pair well with the oversized candleholders and porcelain display.

Pure White House in Granada

Susanna Cots not only embraces white design, her studio has built an entire philosophy around it. Simplicity, visual comfort, order and function, light and contrast – these ingredients help make white a more accessible choice for contemporary interior design. It certainly proved to be the perfect choice here.

The Pure White House is perched on a seaside cliff in Granada and makes the most of its uniquely beautiful surroundings. Sunlight floods through picturesque glass walls, unobstructed by simple furniture and carried by clean lines.

A landscaped atrium separates the kitchen and sitting room, both spaces benefitting from smart integrated storage (the sitting room uses shelves in the modular sofa, the kitchen eschewing cabinets in favor of pullout drawers). A formal living and dining area lives elsewhere in the home and boasts more curves and soft accent colors than the other areas.

We love the energetic decor of the children’s bedrooms and playroom, the balance of simple white furniture with colorful accents. We have to admit that we’re hugely jealous of the view from that homework desk.

Blue Communications Offices in Montreal

Jean Guy Chabauty and Anne Sophie Goneau drew from their unique design backgrounds to collaborate on the new BLUE Communications Offices in Montreal – the result is a smart white interior design, well equipped to stimulate the exchange of information and inspiration.

This modern social workspace is smart and simple. We’ve always loved how Setu chairs by Herman Miller help to preserve a sense of spaciousness, a great choice this office. A communal space features super adjustable Tolomeo Mega Terra lamps and brand-invoking blue couches provide a place for casual participation.

The glass-enclosed conference room is a feature that shows up often in modern offices and works especially well as a solution for a bright studio-like workspace such as this one.

Modern Apartment in Barcelona

Elina Vila and Agnès Blanch of MINIM design studio create incredible spaces using the art of functional simplicity, forgoing extraneous detail in favor of beauty through quality.

The Modern Apartment in Barcelona embodies the MINIM mantra. Natural oak, original tile and stained glass give the white interior its elegance. A smart mixture of modern and midcentury furniture creates the character.

The whole home is fascinating, but our favorite space is the master bedroom. We love how everything sits so low. Much of the oiled oak furniture is by Philipp Mainzer of e15, including the Backenzahn stools, Emil drawer side table, and the Mito towel rail. The simple Zanotta Mini bed frame is shown without the usual leather headboard for a neat minimalist appeal. The reading lamp is a classic Arne Jacobsen design.

We also like the dining areas. Carl Hansen chairs in the formal dining room, kitchen breakfast table with white leather stools by Jasper Morrison. A subtle touch of contrast between materials is easy on the eyes.
