Modern Georgian Townhouse in SOHO London

From architects Timothy Tan and Christina Leung of Make Architects, the Modern Georgian Townhouse is a wealth of decor inspiration. The unique approach to the details, like storage space and lighting, really make the difference.

The dining room is fabulous. Stone-clad walls glow with illumination cast by a ring of low garden lights, a varied group of chandeliers hanging overhead. That glass ceiling is particularly enviable. The tabletop terrarium adds just enough greenery – this is an interior design idea we could all learn from, a clean a simple way to add a breath of freshness where potted plants otherwise could not go.

Open shelves in the bedrooms can provide some inspiration too. One of the rooms has backlit shelving with some kind of interesting sliding shutters to provide a little more privacy, a great solution for anyone who likes the look of open storage but doesn’t want everything on display.

Other good takeaway ideas include the plush and wrinkled fur-like rugs that contrast so nicely against Bauhaus inspired glass and steel furniture. Large studio lights add a touch of industrial appeal, a look any swap meet aficionado can achieve. Our favorite accessory has to be the top hat pendants by Jake Phipps. They seem right at home in London.

There are just so many great ideas to borrow from the expertly decorated Modern Georgian Townhouse – a sleek white interior worth admiring.
