ASUS U36 Specification : ultra-thin notebook with Intel Core i5, ASUS has unveiled a new ultraportable notebook with widescreen 13.3-inch and a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. The Taiwanese company said that the ' ASUS U36JC is the thinnest laptop in the world with a processor Intel Core i5 standards. In fact, these notebooks are usually equipped with a type CPU ULV (Ultra Low Voltage).
The frame is made of aluminum and magnesium alloy, has a display cover made of a special waterproof material that also repels dirt and fingerprints. The thickness of the notebook is only 19 mm , while the weight is 1.4 kg with 4 cell battery and 1.6 kg with 6 cell battery that provides a range of up to 11.5 hours .
In addition to the i5, the hardware equipment includes 4 GB of DDR3 memory, a video card NVIDIA GeForce 310M with 1 GB of dedicated memory, a 500 GB hard drive, card reader 5-in-1. 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1, 0.3 Mpixel webcam, 2 USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and VGA and HDMI outputs.
The ASUS U36JC is available at a price of 699 pounds with operating system Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.
