Microsoft cuts prices of Windows Azure - Windows Azure is the cloud platform of Microsoft that allows developers to build, host and run web applications via the company's data center in Redmond. Microsoft has announced that from July 1, users can transfer their data to the "cloud" without any cost .

Currently provides data transfer rates different depending on the amount of data input and output. The rate on consumption has a cost of 0.071 per GB incoming and outgoing 0.1064 per GB. From July 1 the cost will be cleared for traffic "inbound" at peak and off-peak hours.


It is a very profitable decision for all the companies that make daily on Azure upload huge amounts of data. With this move, Microsoft wants to make its service more attractive compared to similar offerings cloud above the competition and thus increase its share in this expanding market. Even the Amazon Web Services provide a free offer, but its capabilities are inferior to those of Microsoft.

This past March, the company had made ​​available a toolkit to help developers create applications for Windows 7 Phone cloud services that take advantage of Windows Azure. Singapore has to develop the app using Azure Flickr for WP7.
