The Classic La Chaise Eames

The curvaceous La Chaise is an iconic design that almost didn’t happen. Designed in 1948, Charles and Ray Eames soon discovered that it would be too expensive to produce. This, of course, changed in the 1990s and stylish white design aficionados have made good use of it since.

La Chaise Eames gets its name from the Floating Figure statue by Gaston Lachaise – it shares the same shape, the same supporting rods, the same mystique and appeal.

Which Eames design is your favorite? The La Chaise, the ubiquitous Lounge and Ottoman, the LCW? We’re fond of the La Chaise Eames of course, but we’d love to know more about your style!
