This little industrial housing row is a fascinating piece of architecture built by Sir Nicholas Grimshaw in 1988 – his work is immediately recognizable from the metal façade. Inside, however, is something much more modern.
The Grand Union Walk House is located in Camden right on the canal.
Highly divided spaces run the risk of feeling too enclosed, but natural materials and glossy surfaces (combined with a smart floor plan and tall ceiling) ward off the small space blues with ease.
We thought that turning eclectically potted plants into a DIY room divider was a genius touch. It’s easy to incorporate little finds like this into your own interior design and this idea is an instant classic. What do you think?
You don’t get the chance to see a space like this very often. White design and modern digs meet an almost atomic-age industrial charm – who would have thought?
The Grand Union Walk House is definitely out of the ordinary!
