Interior With a Gothic History

Interior With a Gothic History

A gorgeous white interior with a gothic history, a 500-year-old cloister given new life as an office and entertainment space connected to a home remodeled by Antoni Gaudi in the early 19th century. We can only imagine how exciting the restoration process must have felt – true architectural archeology.

Elina Vilá and Agnés Blanch of MINIM design studio did a great job preserving those important historical details including the lovely weathered exterior and ornate Moorish style door of the cloister, viewable from the main house patio.

The modern interior includes awesome Paola Lenti seating (Float and Ami chairs) designed by Francesco Rota. A neat little Karim Rashid rug ties the colorful additions together.

The main portion of the home features a Capellini table and TV cabinet, our personal favorite Hans Wegner chair (the CH445) and an elegant FLOS chandelier. Everything is so fresh and contemporary, smartly coordinated.

The backstory is remarkable, the contemporary atmosphere impeccable, MINIM’s transformation inspiring – the Interior with a Gothic History is something truly special.
