Modern 19th Century Farm House in East Sussex

Thanks to architect Alan Cronshaw and an extensive renovation, this 19th Century Farm House is now the perfect retreat for a fan of white modern design who doesn’t want to give up the comforts of country life.

Local chestnut wood gives the white interior a warm appeal. The home displays a healthy mix of modern and classic furnishing with a whole lot of luxury thrown in for good measure.

The master bath will blow you away. Simplicity humbles the generous use of marble. We really like the use of vessel sinks here – they provided the perfect opportunity to bring steel into the equation, helping the useful towel warmer become part of the decor instead of just another amenity.

An open living and dining arrangement displays a few neat interior design ideas. The classic chairs lined up against the back wall are an attractive way to keep spare seating on hand if you have the room for it and the wood burning stove puts a nice modern spin on a traditional design.

This 19th Century Farmhouse is just beautiful.
