A few years back, the beginnings of the rooms of arcade , the racing games were a real card .
Not the simulations as we know it today , but the games featuring vertical scrolling of a road or ski slope with a few obstacles / cars to avoid and not really a circuit winding due to technical limitations.
Some were obviously inspired nostalgia for this kind of game to offer a version "hack of the 21st century" while maintaining the spirit Retro.

Receipt Racer is a racing game quite special, since mixing lever PS3, dot matrix printer and projector lights.
The principle?A printer prints continuously to scroll through the road and obstacles.
The projector takes care of the car show and the score, while the joystick control the car.
The result: an improbable assembly that holds much promise yet, but frankly no economic or ecological.
Two ways to get to the game over: hitting an obstacle or the edge of the road, or reach the end of 50 meters of paper.
It is this set and the video that introduced him to Joshua Noble, Martin Fuchs and Philip Whitfield for a festival in Barcelona. The game itself is available on the site of Undef , but will certainly not have the charm of this print.
