EASTBOURNE (England) - Eastbourne Tournament: Marion Bartoli in the final for a sixth title

EASTBOURNE (England) - The N.1 French Marion Bartoli will try Saturday to win his sixth title at the WTA tournament final on grass in Eastbourne, where she will face Czech Petra Kvitova, 8th World.

Bartoli, 9th World, which is returning to Eastbourne on grass, qualified early Saturday afternoon for the final by beating Australian Samantha Stosur, the 10th world, in straight sets 6-3, 6-1 .

His future opponent in the final, the Czech Petra Kvitova, 8th World has in turn benefited from the abandonment of the Slovak Daniela Hantuchova, while the score was 7-6 (11 / 9), 4-2 for the Czech.

The semi-finals were originally scheduled Friday played early Saturday afternoon.The final started at 13:45 GMT.

Kvitova and Bartoli have met only once on the circuit.The French had imposed in 2008 during the tournament in Linz (Austria).
