Bac philo: orphans, more than 3,000 copies in a vacuum hold forth

Technology blog from Bangladesh

What had to happen happened. For years, the situation is critical: the professors of philosophy are limited and all applicants passing the test tray of philosophy, is given at each marker, a considerable number of copies compared to teachers of other disciplines. The policy of reducing teaching positions (there are thirty such under the Academy of Créteil) and non-replacement of retiring teachers could hardly have been expected improvement.

And indeed, for this pan 2011 - the test of philosophy took place on Thursday - it's the bug.The threshold of "feasibility" is reached: in the three academies in the Paris region (Versailles, Paris, Créteil), twenty-four packs, about 3000 copies, remain behind. All teachers were invited, including some teachers preparatory classes that have not taught for years end, or teachers who are retired.Given the compelling reason for defections or illness, there is no more "reserve".

Today, Monday, markers are found in three high schools in the capital and the suburbs of Paris for a "meeting of Understanding," in which to discuss the modalities for the correction.Service examinations Arcueil (SIEC) in the Val-de-Marne, was sending 3,000 copies that have not been sold in these schools: the idea is to distribute them (at first, on mode volunteer!) teachers present, already burdened by the weight of their own packets of copies: 120-130 for the general, up to 190 series for technology.

It is not clear that the operation takes place in peace. If the professors of philosophy call general meetings and decided not to take on additional copies, arguing that it is impossible to correct as many duties in such a short time, the entire operation of the system would be blocked .Currently, an advertising campaign of the Ministry of Education announced in the media and many future recruitments. How blind policy has prevented it dares to stop before the drop in the number of teachers?
