This little white teapot catches the eye with generous curves, a cool matte finish, and smooth organic proportions. The Granit Teapot is our favorite piece from a collection with an impressive aesthetic and an even more impressively long history.
Celebrated ceramicist Eva Zeisel was only 20 years old when she got her first design job at Kispester-Granit, but her department closed shortly afterward.
Nearly 60 years later, she returned to the company and created the Granit Collection – widely exhibited and popularly acclaimed, but never mass-produced until 2009.
The collection was a long time coming but well worth the wait. The Granit Teapot (and indeed the whole Granit Collection) would make a wonderful conversation piece among design fans.
