Elwood is an elegant Edwardian Home, restored and extended by Robson Rak Architects and made beautiful by the talented interior designers at Made by Cohen.
The black monolithic addition on the back of the house is fascinating, standing in contrast to the soft white interior within. An open geometric lattice outlines the patio, and a huge window lets light pour into main living area.
The open living space offers plenty of design inspiration: a distressed rug that warms the seating area, the window bench that looks into the backyard, and of course, you can’t miss the gorgeous enamel and brass range that steals the show in the kitchen!
A lounge and music room occupies the second storey. Bold green carpet helps to delineate this area as a casual and social space, and such a fun departure from the minimalistic styling of the formal rooms.
This neatly updated Edwardian Home is a great example of classic meets contemporary, a great source of ideas for the mixed-era design enthusiast.
