The madness Zhest EADS: the supersonic aircraft of the future

Technology blog from Bangladesh

The Zhest, the aircraft which will be presented tomorrow at the Paris Air Show , will annoy Boeing .The supersonic aircraft made by EADS will make the journey Paris-Tokyo in just 2:30 (against 11am today). His trick? It will fly at 4.800km / h (2 times faster than Concorde ) above the atmosphere.

Zehst means "Zero Emission Hypersonic transportation" (ie, zero-emission transport hypersonic). For EADS, the supersonic plane is better than the one proposed by Boeing as it will not pollute (no fuel on board). The goal is that this plane can fly 40 to 50km above the ground using a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen which, when combined, produce the steam. For takeoff and climb, will propel-based biofuels.

The plane will make its first tests in 2030 and its first commercial flight in 2050.The Zhest will accommodate 60 to 100 seats and one can easily imagine that the price will be maddening.

This is one of the craziest aerospace projects of the moment.A model will be shown tomorrow at the Paris Air Show and it's a safe bet that it will also be the star of the week.It would seem that the aircraft needed a Zhest ecology
