Egyptian President Mubarak would be forfeited with cancer

Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, who resigned Feb. 11 following a popular uprising, is suffering from cancer, said Monday one of its lawyers.The Egyptian judiciary announced at the beginning of the month that the trial of Mubarak and his son two begin August 3.

The former head of state, aged 83, was charged with premeditated murder in connection with the repression of the protest movement which led to his resignation, but also for abuse of power and misappropriation of public funds.

It is punishable by death.Nearly 850 protesters were killed in the protest movement.

Alaa and his two son Gamal will be judged alongside their father, as the businessman Hussein Salem.
